The various backgrounds of the management team-from the managing partners to the line level supervisors-offer a unique ability to view situations from many different points of view.

Managing Partners
Both of Allegiance's managing partners began their healthcare careers working in various hospitals throughout the New York metropolitan area.

Mark BellisimoMark Bellissimo has been a managing partner of Allegiance since 2001.  Mark earned a BS in Accounting from St. John’s University in 1986, and he worked as a senior staff accountant/auditor for Deloitte, Haskins & Sells, CPA’s (Deloitte & Touche, LLP).  He began his healthcare career in 1989 at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center, as the manager of accounting and financial production in the Physician Billing Department and he also served as the liaison to Patient Accounts, General Accounting and Finance. In 1996, Mark took a position with Mount Sinai Hospital as finance manager for the Department of Otolaryngology. By 2000, Mark had obtained a position within the information-technology area of the hospital-installing and maintaining various billing platforms and developing the billing/financial reporting packages for many of the multispecialty physician groups within the Faculty Practice Association.

Mr. Bellissimo is also a member of the Healthcare Financial Management Association (HFMA) as well as the Medical Group Management Association (MGMA).

Mark BellisimoJohn Esposito has been with Allegiance since 2000. John earned both his BS in Finance and his MBA in Accounting at St. John’s University. He began his healthcare career in 1992 at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center where he was the supervisor of financial production in the Physician Billing Department. In 1996 he took a position with Sound Shore Medical Center of Westchester (formerly New Rochelle Medical Center) as the director of Physician Billing. In 1999, John became director of Physician Billing at South Nassau Communities Hospital. Each position enabled John to learn the intricacies of practice management, the revenue cycle, and financial reporting.

John is also a member of the Medical Group Management Association (MGMA) and the Healthcare Financial Management Association (HFMA).

Executive Vice President
Rosanna Dovgala serves as the executive vice president of the Hospital Division of Allegiance.  With over fifteen years of experience in the healthcare industry, Rosanna holds a master’s degree in Nonprofit Finance and Management from the University of Pennsylvania.  Her most recent position was associate vice president where she managed client relationships and yielded more than $30 million of revenue annually.  Working daily with internal operations staff, Rosanna focused on maximizing cash for hospitals by maintaining an open line of communication with clients to ensure that all key areas of revenue recovery are identified.  With specialties in compliance and regulatory affairs, Rosanna strategized and executed high priority engagements to assist clients in addressing and preparing for changes impacting their revenue stream.  She served for many years in government, most notably as the deputy chief of staff for the NJ Department of Health.  During her tenure, Rosanna served as the lead strategist on controversial, high-profile issues affecting regulatory structure, legislative matters, and budgetary issues.  She serves as a member of the Healthcare Financial Management Association (HFMA) and the American Association for Healthcare Administrative Management (AAHAM).

Account Managers
Each client is assigned a designated account manager to service any needs that may arise. The account manager is responsible for a number of job duties, including the transfer of work between the client and Allegiance, and processing any monthly/ad hoc reports as required by the client.

Similar to the managing partners, each account manager currently employed by Allegiance started their healthcare careers in various hospitals throughout the New York metropolitan area.

Credentialing Managers
Provider enrollment is handled by Allegiance’s internal Credentialing Department. Our credentialing managers each have over ten years of experience in the healthcare industry, and they started their healthcare careers working in a hospital environment.

Billing Operations Managers
Allegiance’s Billing Operations managers each possess at least twelve years of experience in processing billing for various hospital/private practice clients.

Information Technology Team
Allegiance Billing & Consulting has developed our own dynamic, proprietary billing system. We also have the ability to adapt to our clients' system(s) via remote access. Our IT team can develop interface feeds (demographic/clinical data) from client-based system(s) to the Allegiance system. We are fully compliant with HIPPA regulations and requirements.
